The FASTer Way to Fat Loss® is a 6-week online coaching program created by Amanda Tress that combines intermittent fasting, carb cycling, macro tracking, and strategic exercise. It's designed to teach your body to burn fat efficiently while building sustainable, healthy habits — not a crash diet or quick fix.
No gym required! All workouts are 30 minutes and can be done at home with minimal equipment. The program does include optional weight training, so a set of dumbbells is helpful — but bodyweight-only modifications are always available.
Because FWTFL is offered through Perrenia Wellness — a medically supervised practice — we can coordinate your program with your health history and any existing conditions or medications. We always recommend a consultation before beginning. Intermittent fasting may not be appropriate for everyone; we'll work with you to ensure your protocol is safe and effective.
The program uses a 16:8 fasting protocol — you fast for 16 hours and eat within an 8-hour window each day. Most people skip breakfast and eat from noon to 8pm, though the window is flexible to your lifestyle. This approach helps regulate blood sugar, reduce inflammation, and train your body to access fat for fuel.
Carb cycling involves alternating between low-carb days and regular-macro days throughout the week. On low-carb days, your body depletes glycogen stores and shifts to burning fat for energy. On regular days, carbohydrates are strategically used to replenish muscles, support hormones, and prevent metabolic adaptation. This prevents the plateau that most diets hit.
Most clients are surprised to find they're not hungry — especially once the body adapts to fasting (usually by Week 2). The program ensures you're eating enough during your eating window and that your macros are set appropriately to fuel your energy and workouts. This is not a starvation diet.
